90%

You can't live your life trying to fully understand it, there's no such thing. The truth is it doesn't make sense per ce and no "sense" is waiting to be found. However, one thing is for sure: it's 10% what happens to you and 90% what you do about it. Cliché as it may sound, it's all about attitude... attitude and decisions, that is.

One of such decisions (and a very important one) is making up your mind and leaving some things behind. Don't forget them entirely, if you do no lesson will come from them and so all you'll have left is hurt, or rage, or deception, or sadness, or any of those emotions we don't really control... But there comes a time when you have to let go: of things, of people, of experiences.

Everybody has problems. Everyone has a reason to be fucked up (and if someone doesn't he'll surely make one up), but we also have the option of making the best of things and not being affected by them unsolvably.

Options. That's what freedom is all about. We're born free because wether we like it or not we have the capacity to reason, and question, and act in consequence. Sure there's obstacles... it's not about running over them but about learning how to swerve so you don't get hit too often.

Attitude, like I said. Waking up, smelling the coffee, knowing it's there and choosing wether you like it or not, wether you stand still and watch it or not, wether you want to go ahead and drink the whole thing, or not.

You'll be called a coward, or a psycho, or "dark", or maybe a star, a hero or a role model... unmistakably someone will call you crazy... but you've got to hear them all and then see if you think of yourself as a coward, a psycho, "dark", a hero, a role model or a crazy person... and if you feel that way too.

There are things and situations that deserve thought, people who deserve to be listend to and cared for, feelings worth fighting for and experiencies ought to be liven... and some don't. Ultimately it rounds up to you and your handling of your liberty and you using that time we call life the way you decide to.

I'm clinging to that idea of the 90% because frankly the 10% can be quite overwhelming. No, we don't control anything entirely and no we don't know everything that is going on while it unravels, but we have the power to be driven and make up our own true personal meaning of life and way of acting towards it.

I now officially welcome the rest of my days with a whole new refreshing attitude. A toast for that 90%.

Gracias, Meque.

Me suena a que no metí la verificación de palabra bien, o te hace falta aprobar los comentarios. El caso es que este post me parece ingenioso, y me encantaría que escribieras más por el estilo.
